Open a dispute. The funds never left escrow — they're still safe with us. Our admin team reviews evidence from both sides within 24 hours. If the seller can't prove they shipped, you get a full refund to your original payment method.

By default, the fee is added on top of the product price and paid by the buyer at checkout. Sellers can choose to absorb it instead — the choice is set per transaction when creating a payment link.

We never see or store your card details. Payments are processed directly by Paystack, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant — the highest security certification in payments. Your card data only touches Paystack's servers, never ours.

As soon as you click "Item received," the seller's payout is queued. Funds typically land in their bank account within 24 hours during the MVP phase. Phase 3 will introduce instant Paystack Transfer payouts.

Don't click confirm — open a dispute instead, then send a Support ticket with photos of what you actually received within 24 hours of delivery. Admin reviews the evidence and decides outcome: full refund, partial refund, or release to seller.

Not yet. SafeGate is a web app that works perfectly in any mobile browser. We're working on iOS and Android apps for Phase 3 — but you can transact safely today from WhatsApp's built-in browser.

Right now SafeGate is Nigeria-only — both the seller and buyer need Nigerian payment methods (Naira card or Nigerian bank). International expansion is on the long-term roadmap.

Our admin team makes the final call based on evidence. If you believe the decision was wrong, you can submit additional evidence within 48 hours and we'll re-review. Beyond that, the original decision stands.
